For many developing countries, investment in land and water resources is crucial to their efforts to achieve food security and sustainable development.
I disagree. It should say "All Countries"
I did not read the whole paper, but I think is worth considering water investment.
Water investment is a pet project of mine. I think water is going to be very valuable in the near futures. War-fighting valuable.
Just a little thought for you.

Carbon Trading - Carbon Fund
How does one really raise money for a carbon fund?
Does one positively need to be:
- Successful investment banker / fund manager / rich dude with a good track record?
- A well known boutique or major bank?
- A Russian oligarch with green intentions - but only for this american idea of PEE ARR (Publick Relations)?
I know a guy with decent deal flow for new credit projects, CDM and even some JI, but he is not connected. The owners are developing a good (but not humungus) deal flow chain, and seem to know what they are doing. But he has little chance of getting a fund together because he really only has a trader's background and not a high level financier. The are not in a main city and they have a small balance sheet. It seems they will be relegated to the 'introducer heap' and not really earn a management fee.
What's a developer to do??
Any thoughts for this company? how to find money? Do NOT suggest introducing the deals. They have enough of that.
