The gloom of the Emissions Credit market.
So its August. Its hot. There is not a heck of a lot going on. All the stuff I want to get done is problematic with all the people away for holidays.
And now... the financial markets collapse. So that means there is less money for fund investment (credit origination funds) since they are alternative funds.
And stories are coming out about the 5 billion of credits to be generated in Phase II that will dwarf the 3.75 billion demand. And prices are slowly moving lower, while we have unhedged deliverables for February 2008 issuance of EUAs.
Gloomy is all I can say.

Time to hit up the philanthropic and government markets to retire credits when prices drop. Need to have some support for the demand and a buyer of last resort.
