A More Foreboding Comment

I read the headline regarding Ban Ki-Moon's assertion that climate change created the Darfur crisis and, at first glance, thought it was a too-sensationalist headline.

Then, after a few more seconds and a quick skim through the article, it turns out to be a clear omen for the future.

I have said often in the last year that the investment into water desalination and other such water producing efforts would be well-advised. But that does not remove the threat of real war. It only means that if you have water, you will be the target of some aggressor.

But I do think weather and war will be more closely linked in the future.
